 Parkes Macdonald Imagenation to Develop KILLER With Hyde Park Entertainment
 .Imagenation Abu Dhabi and Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald of Parkes/MacDonald Productions have acquired the rights to develop Kenny Golde s Killer.
.Killer is about a rogue police investigator who discovers a video left by a killer, triggering a cat-and-mouse game, with the investigator several steps behind his prey.
.The project will be developed through Parkes/MacDonald Imagenation, a venture which was announced in October 2009 to provide financing for the development of film projects with an initial 10 million USD revolving fund.
.Imagenation Abu Dhabi will produce the film with Hyde Park Entertainment under their partnership which was established in September 2008 and provides $250 million in funds to develop, produce and distribute up to 20 feature films over seven years.
.Killer will be produced by Hyde Park s Ashok Amritraj and Patrick Aiello alongside Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald from Parkes/MacDonald Productions.
.Imagenation Abu Dhabi s H.E. Mohamed Khalaf Al Mazrouei and Edward Borgerding will serve as executive producers.
.The project was brought in by Parkes/MacDonald executive Marc Restighini.
.Killer is the first project to utilize two different Imagenation Abu Dhabi partnerships (Parkes/MacDonald Productions & Hyde Park Entertainment)
.Parkes MacDonald/ Imagenation recently partnered with DreamWorks on The Museum of SuperNatural History which is based on a website created by Ernest Lupinacci and Eat, Sleep, Poop: A Common Sense Guide to Your Baby s First Year written by pediatrician Scott W. Cohen.
.Earlier this month, Parkes MacDonald/ Imagenation acquired Earthbound by Richard Matheson, the author of I Am Legend, Hell House, What Dreams May Come, and A Stir of Echoes. Earthbound centers on a married man who jeopardizes his marriage by succumbing to the temptations of a beautiful, young stranger.
.Kenny Golde directed The Job, starring Daryl Hannah and Brad Renfro and Uncross the Stars, with Barbara Hershey and Ron Perlman. He also penned 2009 s The Do It Yourself Bailout, which describes how he reduced $212,000 in credit card debt to only $30,000 in six months by negotiating directly with credit card companies.
.Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald formed Parkes/MacDonald Productions in May 2005 and currently have a first-look deal at DreamWorks Studios with an upcoming slate that includes Jay Roach’s Dinner for Schmucks, Motorcade, and Men in Black 3.
