H.E Abdulla Ali Al Ahbabi

H.E. Abdulla Ali Musleh Al Ahbabi is the Assistant Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Previously, he served as the Director of the Government Performance Management Division and the Director of Strategies & Policies Planning Division at the General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi Executive Council for three years, where he guided Abu Dhabi Government entities in formulating their Strategic Plans in alignment with the Abu Dhabi Policy Agenda, and managed to set Abu Dhabi Government Wide Performance Management & Strategic Planning Frameworks.

Before joining the General Secretariat, he served in the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) for 10 years, during which time he managed to develop certain strategic objectives, including the unbundling, privatization and regulation of the water and electricity sectors, and financing of large infrastructure projects.

Before that, he served in Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) for seven years. He is a member of the boards of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Abu Dhabi Committee for Technology Development, Abu Dhabi Governance Committee and Abu Dhabi Pension Fund, and Chairman of the Administration Coordination Committee.

He has an MBA from Hull University, UK (1997) and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Augsburg College, USA (1988).
